VA To Integrate Authentidate Telehealth Solutions with VistA EHR Medical Records System For Remote Patient Monitoring

This is not fully electronic but is getting there are patients from the VAimage can use the phone to enter vial signs and any other requested information using voice response or the keypad of the phone.  Electronic House Call is the name given to the program and the results are stored in the VistA medical record so clinicians can log on the monitor patients vitals at any time.  BD

(ADAT),a provider of secure web-based software applications and telehealth products and services for healthcare organizations, today announced that it imagehas completed the integration and required testing of the interface between its Electronic House Call (EHC) and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) telehealth solutions and the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) VistA Electronic Health Records system. The VA has approved the integration of both solutions with the VistA system which is expected to enable the VA to reduce the time for patient enrollment on Authentidate's EHC and IVR solutions as well as the flow of patient data back to the VistA system.

Authentidate is an approved vendor for the EHC and IVR telehealth solutions in the VA's national home telehealth program. VA clinicians use Authentidate's telehealth solutions to remotely monitor their patients' vital signs and gather qualitative information about their patients' health to supplement in-person visits and help improve patient compliance with their care plans.

Clinicians can review their patients' remote monitoring session results securely using Authentidate's web-based application and remotely manage or adjust their patients' care plans, medication reminders and related information. Clinicians can also use the web-based application to provide disease-specific education to their patients in real-time through the EHC or the IVR solutions.
