Parasite that causes malaria is transmitted from one person to another through the intermediary of the Anopheles mosquito. Malaria mosquitoes live in coastal areas, wetlands, forests, dirty water is not flowing, plantations and rice fields. There are 4 types of parasites known so far as the cause of malaria, namely plasmodium falciparum, plasmodium vivax, plasmodium malariae, and Plasmodium ovale. Plasmodium falciparum cause the most deaths, about more than two million people die every year worldwide due to malaria.
Malaria parasites consuming red blood cells that serve as food and oxygen transport in the body. Reduced red blood cells reduces the supply of food and oxygen to the body thus reducing the body's functions.
