It’s an interesting mix to see what they are bringing together with social networking, as their primary focus has been data mining. Drug companies pay IMS for information about doctor prescribing habits and they appear to be expanding into additional areas as well as analytics with health insurance claims. BD
Pharma data giant IMS Health has acquired SaaS firm Incential Software, as it looks to extend its performance management capabilities for life sciences organizations worldwide. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Lisa KerberFounded in 1998 by software developer Fin Gold, Incential offers cloud-based technology and services that integrate incentive compensation, data management and business intelligence applications. Incential’s solutions will become part of IMS One, the company’s commercial platform that combines IMS Health and third-party data for sales, marketing and performance management activities.
